On October 13, 2024, the Center for Graduate Studies, Department of Data Science, welcomed Abdirahman Ismail, Data Analytics Lead at Vodafone UK, as a guest speaker. Ismail’s presentation, titled “Internal Audit Analytics in Telecom for Predicting and Mitigating Customer Churn,” was held online via Zoom.

Ismail addressed Master of Data Science students and local telecom professionals, highlighting the critical role of data analytics in predicting customer behavior and reducing churn rates. He demonstrated how telecom providers can leverage internal audit analytics to identify patterns, make data-driven decisions, and enhance customer retention.
